 Cambridge Rock Festival

Set in the idyllic Haggis Farm Polo club and accommodating a huge range of established and emerging rock acts, The Cambridge Rock Festival is a totally unique experience. This is a festival that prides itself on diversity – folk rock, ska, punk, blues, prog, jazz rock, funk & latin fusion can all be found here!

There are 7 different stages: The Main Stage, Stage Two, The Introducing Stage, Classic Rock Society, Rotary Rocks, The Buskers Stage and The Access to Music Stage. This is a truly great range of rock music, enough to satisfy the most experienced head banging rock enthusiast. Children, dogs, cats and hippies are all welcome, and fit in perfectly with the diverse atmosphere created by the jugglers, clowns and crazy food stalls that line the area.

The Cambridge Rock Festival combines the snarl and sweat of a rock festival with the hugs and smiles of a family festival – not to be missed!

Twinwood Festival

The idea of time travel has always eluded scientists and been reserved only for Tom Baker and co. – NOT ANY MORE! The Twinwood Festival transports you back into the Jazz and swing era of the late 40s and 50s. Polka dot dress and bright red lip stick scatter the North Bedfordshire airfield where the pioneering Jazz composer Glenn Miller took his last flight in 1944 – his spirit lives on!

If you can wade through the hips and brogues you will discover fashion shows, comedy shows, air displays and hangar dances in addition to the live Jazz and swing. If you want to escape the brass you can visit the many museums, classic vehicles and retro clothing stalls to top up on your bowtie collection! Twinwood accommodates those who wish to camp and helps them to sleep with a great range of drinks at the bars and food stalls.

Essential for the Jazz enthusiast, vintage stylist or just those who want to experience something different!

 The Pink Festival

Although primarily a gay pride festival, anyone and everyone is welcome to The Pink Festival. The Main Stage and Alternative Tent provide suitable nourishment for those looking for quality live rock and indie performances.

Wandering ‘left-field’, the Pink Lounge is the ideal environment and line-up for the jazz and funk cats whilst also producing a fine range or emerging world and folk acts. Away from music The Cabaret Tent hosts comedy, dance and theatre acts, providing a great deal of diversity in a festival that sums up the word. The Youth Tent hosts the Young Pink and Talented providing workshops and holding shows for young and enthusiastic musicians and artists – a feature not found at many festivals. As the sun sets the prestigious Horse Meat Disco pumps out the best disco, house and dance anthems.

As diverse and varied as they come – expect surprises and excitement from The Pink Festival!

The Jelly Festival

Past a certain age, Jelly at parties becomes unacceptable, a moot issue, something for kids. Choosing, like Peter Pan, never to grow up, some decided to dedicate an entire festival to the stuff! Jelly in spirit as much as anything, this festival allows for a flexible range of bands to entertain the crowds.

The Living Room stage, The Bedroom Bar and The Kitchen are the main music arenas, with rock, folk and funk being played in equal measure. Not content with the generic, The Jelly Festival tries to push the boundaries and play acts with a more challenging, fresh and original sound - right in the spirit of any successful festival. The Jelly Festival is very accommodating for families, providing The Playroom and the notorious Jelly Monster for young children to occupy themselves with. After hours, the festival is known for its electro and break beat acts with their suitably ‘wobbly’ bass lines and ‘tasty’ break downs.

The Acoustic Festival

Exactly what it says on the proverbial tin – The Acoustic Festival holds mainly indie, folk, country and bluegrass artists. Although not a huge festival, in sticking to its acoustic theme it reveals the raw and organic roots of folk music.

The festival manages to attract key pioneers from the folk genre whilst still thickening the programme with many notable up and coming artists.

Although particularly accommodating for families, the essence of this festival is purely musical, a key date in the diary of any folk and country fan.
